1. General

These terms and conditions apply to all services and products offered by UZAY, including both rental and sale of items. By placing an order or entering into a rental agreement, the customer agrees to these terms.

2. Ownership

All rented items remain the property of UZAY at all times. The renter must handle the rented items with care and use them only for their intended purpose. It is not allowed to sublet, lend, or sell rented items to third parties. For sales, ownership transfers to the customer after full payment.

3. Products and Services

UZAY offers the following categories:

• Rental Services: Renting dresses and accessories for a predetermined period.

• Sale of Ready-made Products: Items in standard sizes (S, M, L) that can be purchased directly.

• Custom-made Products: Products created based on specific customer measurements without altering the original design.

• Personalized Products (Special Orders): Products fully customized to the customer's wishes in collaboration with a professional designer from UZAY.

4. Reservations (Rental)

Reservations are confirmed after a deposit, starting from €150.00, depending on the dress. The pick-up and return of rented items are by appointment only. Fittings are scheduled for a maximum of 90 minutes, with a limited number of companions allowed, as agreed beforehand.

5. Rental Price and Deposit

The rental price includes 21% VAT and, if applicable, professional cleaning. The renter is not permitted to wash the rented items themselves. The remaining rental amount and deposit must be paid in cash or by bank transfer. The deposit is at least €150.00, depending on the dress and accessories. In case of damage, loss, or incomplete return of items, (a part of) the deposit will be withheld.

6. Product Price and Payment (Sale)

For ready-made products, the customer must pay the full amount upfront via IDEAL, VISA, or Mastercard. For custom-made or personalized products, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining balance must be paid before the order is shipped. All prices include 21% VAT unless otherwise stated.

7. Cancellation and Return (Rental and Sale)

• Rental: In case of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable. The customer may reschedule with the deposit retained.

• Sale: Customers can request a refund within one day of receiving the order, provided it is a ready-made product. Custom-made and personalized products are non-refundable.

8. Shipping (Sale)

UZAY offers worldwide shipping via DHL, UPS, POSTNL, and DPD. The customer is responsible for providing the correct delivery address. Shipping costs and any customs fees are the customer's responsibility. Delivery takes 5 to 14 business days, excluding any delays due to customs procedures.

9. Pick-Up and Return of Rented Items

Rented items can be picked up 1 to 2 days before use and must be returned 1 to 2 days after use unless otherwise agreed. Late returns will incur a 25% daily charge of the original rental price.

10. Liability

• Rental: The renter is fully liable for damage, loss, or theft of rented items. In case of damage, extreme dirt (e.g., from smoke, henna, oil, food, makeup), or loss, the costs for repair or replacement will be charged. Any additional costs will be deducted from the deposit. For irreparable damage, the renter must pay the sale value minus the deposit.

• Sale: UZAY is not responsible for any damage or defects that occur after delivery. All products undergo strict quality control before shipping.

11. Return Inspection (Rental)

When picking up and returning rented items, both the renter and UZAY will check that all items are complete and in good condition. The deposit will be refunded provided all items are returned fully and in good condition.

12. Warranty and Quality (Sale)

UZAY ensures that each product undergoes quality control before shipping. Handmade products may have slight variations in details, such as craftsmanship, which cannot be 100% identical. Small size differences may also occur, especially with custom-made products.

13. Modification of Terms

UZAY reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions. Any changes will be communicated to the customer at least 4 weeks in advance.

14. Applicable Law

All agreements between UZAY and the customer are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
